Company Information
Located in Goshen, Indiana, Wave Express and Recreation Customs, Inc. are at the heart of the RV industry. Started in the fall of 2005, the company has grown to employ 3 full time office employees and 2 service technicians, while maintaining a fleet of 55 single trucks, 1 haul & tow, 1 wedge deck and 1 lowboy.
Owners, Dorian and Anita Carpenter, have over 45 years of combined experience in the RV industry. Dorian started in the industry as a receiver for Van American Cobra in the late 1980’s. He worked his way up to a supervisor’s position and helped to start the Aerolite plant for Dutchmen in 1995.
Anita has always worked in an office capacity. Her big break came in 1993 when she took a job at Dutchmen’s fold-down division working for Denny Bailey. It was here that she had her first opportunity to work in sales. Over time she worked her way up to Sales Manager of that division. After five years of traveling around the US and Canada she took a position as a dispatcher. That is when we realized the need for reliable & dedicated transportation services.
Our motto at Wave Express is “the new wave of service”. It is our belief that excellent service is what sells! Anyone can transport a trailer from point A to point B. It takes a team dedicated to excellence to serve the needs of this industry. We have that team! Give us a call and see what we can do to help you!!
Company History
We got involved in RV transportation in 2000 while Anita was working for R-Vision as a dispatcher. She would come home from work each night frustrated at the lack of reliable transporters. So, we decided to start our own transport company.
In the fall of 2005 we started Recreational Customs, Inc. In the beginning all we were doing was pre-delivery inspections (PDI’s) for FEMA. This later turned into our RV service division. We have done warranty repairs for R-Vision, Forest River, and Pilgrim, as well as a significant amount of retail service work.
Over time we have developed some great relationships in the RV industry, having become Pilgrim’s primary transporter in 2006. In the spring of 2007, we approached General RV in Michigan with a proposal to be their transporter. Over time we proved ourselves and gained all of their towable transportation work. Because of our relationship with General RV we have also become a transporter for Starcraft. |
